Best Seamless Period Underwear for Sport 2026 (UK), Tested & Reviewed

If you've ever tried to do a downward dog in period pants you can see through your leggings, you'll know exactly why this comparison exists.

Seamless period underwear for sport is a very different thing to seamless period underwear for everyday wear. You need proper moisture management, real absorbency that holds during movement, and a cut that doesn't create a camel toe the moment you step into Warrior II.

I tested seven pairs across running sessions and yoga classes to find out which actually delivers on all three. The results were more interesting than I expected.

I'm Sophie Harte, a 34-year-old fitness coach based in London. I run three times a week and practise yoga twice a week , and for the past three months I've been testing the most popular seamless period underwear on the market during both. Here's what I actually found.

Temporarily buy 1 get 1 free | Now £15 per pair (normally £29.95)

This is the one I kept reaching for. The Lunã Seamless Hipster is genuinely invisible under leggings, no lines, no ridges, no bunching at the back during a run. The cut sits perfectly flat across the front, which means zero camel toe even in the tightest yoga pants. That single detail puts it ahead of almost everything else I tested.

I wore it across a 10k run and a full 90-minute yoga session, both on medium flow days. Not a single leak, no shifting, and I genuinely forgot I was wearing it during sun salutations. The absorbent layer stays dry against your skin even when you're sweating, which is exactly what you want when you're moving. It holds during jumps, lunges, forward folds , it just works.

The price is genuinely strong. With the current buy 1 get 1 free deal you're getting two pairs for the price of one premium competitor. If you only try one pair of seamless period underwear for sport this year, make it this one.

2. WUKA — Perform Seamless Midi Brief

£17.99 per pair

WUKA is probably the best-known period underwear brand in the UK right now , you'll find them in Sainsbury's, Superdrug, and Boots , and the Perform Seamless Midi Brief is their dedicated active option. Made from recycled nylon, it's lightweight, VPL-free, and designed specifically for movement.

In practice, it performs well for light to medium flow days. The seamless construction is genuinely good and it held up without any visible lines during both running and yoga. Where it falls slightly short is absorbency for heavier flow days , it's rated at medium flow and I wouldn't push it during the first two days of a heavy cycle. Sizing is fixed rather than stretch-fit, so check the size guide carefully.

At £17.99 it's well priced and a solid active option for lighter days, especially if you already know and trust the WUKA brand.

Pros

Cons

✓  Lightweight recycled nylon , breathable and eco-friendly

–  Medium flow only , not ideal for heavy days

✓  Good seamless construction, no VPL

–  Fixed sizing, not multi-size stretch

✓  Well-known, trusted UK brand

–  Not as invisible under very tight leggings as Lunã

✓  Solid for light to medium flow days

✓  Reasonable price point

3. Modibodi — PUMA x Modibodi Seamfree Active Thong

£28.99 per pair

A collaboration between Modibodi and PUMA, this one is designed explicitly for sport and the thong cut makes it genuinely invisible under even the most form-fitting leggings. The seamfree construction is well executed and the fabric is soft with good moisture-wicking properties. In a yoga session, it was practically undetectable.

The main limitation is absorbency. As a thong, it's rated for light flow only , suitable for lighter days or workouts where sweat management is the main priority rather than full period protection. For heavier flow days you'd need to pair it with a tampon or cup.

At £28.99 it's the most expensive option on this list per pair. Quality is good, but for full protection during sport it doesn't match the Lunã Hipster at nearly half the price.

Pros

Cons

✓  Genuinely invisible under tight leggings

–  Light flow only , not suitable for medium/heavy days standalone

✓  Excellent moisture-wicking for sweaty workouts

–  Most expensive option at £28.99 per pair

✓  Soft seamfree fabric

–  Limited coverage for heavier flow days

✓  Well-made sport collab

4. Fluxies , Seamless High Waist

£24.00 per pair

Fluxies is a UK-made brand and the Seamless High Waist is their most coverage-focused option. It absorbs up to four tampons worth of flow and the seamless construction is clean and comfortable. The high waist gives good coverage and felt secure during runs without digging in.

It's a solid, honest product. The main thing I noticed during yoga was that the high waist sits quite visibly above low-rise leggings, which isn't ideal if you're wearing a cropped top. For running it was fine. The UK-made credentials are a plus if sustainability matters to you.

At £24 it sits in the mid-range. Good for medium to heavy flow days when you want real coverage.

Pros

Cons

✓  UK-made , strong sustainability credentials

–  High waist can sit visibly above low-rise leggings

✓  Absorbs up to 4 tampons worth

–  Slightly less sleek look vs Lunã or Modibodi

✓  Seamless construction, no VPL

–  Limited colour range

✓  Comfortable, holds well during running

5. Cheeky Wipes , Feeling Sleek Seamless

£11.99 per pair

Cheeky Wipes have been in the reusable period protection space since 2008 and the Feeling Sleek Seamless is their no-VPL option. At £11.99 it's the most affordable seamless pair on this list by a wide margin, and it delivers reasonable protection for light to medium flow days.

For low-intensity workouts or yoga sessions on lighter days, it's a comfortable option. I didn't experience any leaks during a gentle yoga class on day four of my cycle. During a run it felt slightly less secure than the higher-priced options , the seamless construction is good but not as refined , and I wouldn't rely on it for a heavy flow day or high-intensity training.

If you're new to period underwear and want to try the format without spending a lot, this is a solid starting point.

✓  Good for light flow days and lighter workouts

–  Not ideal for heavy flow days or high-intensity sport

✓  No VPL

–  Seamless construction less refined at this price point

✓  90-day trial guarantee

✓  PFAS-free, Vegan Society approved

6. Snuggs , Invisible Brazilian

£27.00 per pair

Snuggs is a European brand with a strong following and the Invisible Brazilian is one of their most popular seamless options. The seamfree technology is well executed , it disappears under clothing and the recycled nylon fabric is smooth and comfortable against the skin.

For sport it's a decent option for light to medium flow days. The Brazilian cut gives good coverage without the bulk of a high waist, and it stayed in place during both yoga and a light run. The antibacterial layer manages odour well. What holds it back is the price , at £27 a pair, it's in the same bracket as Modibodi without the sport-specific design.

A comfortable everyday seamless option that works fine for sport on lighter days, but hard to justify the price for active wear when Lunã delivers more protection at nearly half the cost.

Pros

Cons

✓  Clean seamfree construction, no VPL

–  £27 per pair , expensive for light absorbency

✓  Antibacterial layer , good odour control

–  Light flow only for active use

✓  Comfortable Brazilian cut

–  Limited colour options in seamless range

✓  Stays in place during movement

7. Thinx , Seamless Bikini

~£25 per pair (available via UK stockists)

Thinx is one of the original period underwear brands and the Seamless Bikini is their most streamlined everyday option. It's available in the UK through Boots and a handful of other stockists. The construction is smooth and comfortable with a classic bikini cut.

For sport it's a reasonable light-day option. The seamless construction means no visible lines under leggings and it absorbed sweat well during a yoga session. On a run I found it slightly less secure-fitting than the other options , not a dealbreaker on a light day, but something to consider.

Limited UK availability compared to its competitors means sizing options and stock can be inconsistent. Decent for everyday use, but for active wear specifically there are more purpose-built options on this list.

✓  Classic, well-known brand

–  Limited UK availability vs other brands

✓  Good seamless construction for everyday use

–  Light flow only for solo active use

✓  No VPL

–  Less sport-specific than competitors

Sophie's pick for light days: Lunã Seamless Thong

If you're towards the end of your period, dealing with spotting, or just want something to handle sweat during a workout with absolutely no bulk, the Lunã Seamless Thong is genuinely brilliant. It's the only thong I've tried that completely eliminates camel toe , the seamless construction means there's nothing to bunch or shift during movement. I wear it on day four or five of my cycle and for workouts where I just want to feel like I'm wearing nothing at all.

What to actually look for in seamless period underwear for sport

Not all seamless period underwear is made the same , and the difference becomes obvious the moment you go for a run. Here's what separates a genuinely sport-ready option from one that just happens to not have visible seams.

1

True seamless construction vs just no side seams

A lot of brands call their underwear seamless when they simply mean the side seams are bonded rather than stitched. That's fine for everyday wear, but during a workout the front panel still needs to be fully smooth , no ridges, no edges , to avoid chafing and to stay invisible under tight leggings. The best seamless period underwear for sport uses a full knit construction, not just bonded edges.

2

The camel toe problem

This one doesn't get talked about enough. A lot of seamless period underwear uses an absorbent panel that creates a visible ridge at the front. In tight yoga pants or running leggings, that translates directly into a camel toe. The fix is a full front-panel seamless construction where everything sits flat and smooth. It's not universal, but it makes a significant difference in practice.

3

Absorbency during movement

Absorbency in period underwear is often tested at rest. During a run or a yoga session, things move around. The absorbent panel needs to stay in position during dynamic movement , lunges, jumps, forward folds. Look for a secure multi-layer construction that locks fluid rather than letting it travel.

4

Moisture-wicking for sweat

Period underwear and workout underwear need to handle two different types of moisture. A skin-dry surface layer that wicks sweat while the deeper absorbent layers manage your period flow means you stay comfortable even during a heavy training session.

5

Fit that doesn't move

Period underwear that rides up, rolls down, or shifts during a workout is a dealbreaker. A snug waistband and the right stretch in the leg openings keeps everything in place. If a pair feels fine standing still but shifts when you move, that's a fitting issue , try a different cut or size.

My verdict: one winner, one surprise, and a clear hierarchy

After three months of testing across runs and yoga sessions, the ranking above is genuinely how I'd spend my own money. The Lunã Seamless Hipster is the standout, it's the only pair that ticked every box for sport: truly invisible construction, no camel toe, proper absorbency that holds during movement, and a dry surface layer throughout. At £15 a pair with the current deal, it's also the best value for quality on this entire list.

The surprise was Cheeky Wipes at rank 5 , for £11.99 it punches well above its price for lighter days. And Modibodi's PUMA collab earns its spot for anyone who wants a premium sport thong purely for light-day or sweat-management use.

If you're just starting out with seamless period underwear for sport, start with Lunã. You won't look back.
